Today on the design wall I have
the quilt i'm making for my husband and my bed! Finally, I'm going to keep a quilt! Here is some fine artwork by my six year old decorating my sewing room.
My design wall, as it turns out, is WAYYYYY too small. This is only HALF our king-sized quilt: the
green and blue blocks for Mickey's side. And it falls off the bottom and onto the floor. I need to get a king-sized flannel sheet and tack it up as my design wall. This picnic table cover flannel back is not working for me.
I'm putting the sashing in between the rows right now, it's going pretty quickly. Do you like it sof far?
I love it! Its going to be beautiful and BIG! Really like your idea of
ReplyDelete'guy' colors on one side and 'girl' colors on the other -
I was wondering when we'd have an update on this quilt...
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! All of the fabrics really work well together.
Looks great! I am amazed that you hand piece and hand quilt. All of my quilts have been hand quilted so far but I am trying to learn machine quilting now. I have to say I am not getting the hang of it at all! I gave up trying to hand piece on my first block. I keep buying these cute templates for hand piecing hoping to give it another try again someday. Can't wait to see your quilt finished. The one you made for Wolf is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteStunning! I love it! I love coming here for your updates! :-D
ReplyDeleteI really like your blocks and the way that you are placing them. I love how this quilt feels scrappy and really put together at the same time.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on making something for YOU. Its often hard to do.
This is the most exciting project I'm watching right now in blogs!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! Add me in to the group envious of your hand sewing/hand quilting abilities (and attention span!) :)
