Come Sail Away With Me! Ty's Sailboat Quilt and pattern share offer

Hi All,Today for your viewing pleasure I have a quilt I made for my sister's son Ty. Be sure to click on the photos to see them full size, they look a lot better that way! I wanted to make him something 'boyish' and had been wanting to try this pattern for some time. I changed the pattern from the original by making the top row of boats sail in the morning, the second row sail at dusk, and the last row sail at night. All those triangles in the 'water' took me forever, and as you can see, I cut off many of my points!

PS: I have the pattern scanned in, so I can share the pdf of the pattern if you like. Just send me your email request.

Thank you Auntie Wendy! This quilt has really grown with Ty. At 3 his biggest fascination is the patterns on the sails. They represent a lot of his favorite things: football, cats, fire trucks, etc. In person this quilt is a real piece of artwork and will be an heirloom. I see it being a wall hanging when he's done with it as a blanky.

I love the sailboats and while we sing rhymes and take the children to a fairyland in our imagination...they can get a feel of the same through the quilts here.Lovely stuff...a great experience to use them too.

Your use of color and theme and storytelling of time and season...your imagineative use of fabric...this is all really superlative. Lots of love visible here too.
