Cancer is Sew Done Blocks

Click on the photo to see what they really look like. The photography is terrible as I have to do these things after my kids are in bed and the lighting is not so great!

These are the blocks for cancerissewdone. Won't you join me in that group?

This one is my favorite! Alexander Henry sprites.

those look lovely!
I was wondering... how long does it take you to put together one block? It seems to me that you move quicker than I do, and I use a machine!

Well I was actually surprised at how long these took me. The cutting of six blocks took a few hours, but I was sorting through scraps and fussy cutting. Then the actual sewing took me about 45 minutes per block. I don't really notice it as I sew on the couch at night talking to kids or watching tv.

I made my blocks this morning (2 at once). It took about an hour to find the right stuff, cut out the pieces and lay them out, since I've never followed directions before, but the sewing went very fast because I use a machine. Maybe an hour and a half, start to finish.

I LOVE the mermaids and the fairies. Very beautiful!
