He Did It!

My husband did it! He passed his exam and is now a Master Plumber. Yay! There are levels of plumbers, starting with Apprentice, going to Journeyman, and finally Master. You have to have ten years as a Journeyman before you can even take the test! He was very stressed out the last few months preparing for this, studying hundreds of pages of code and math problems - it's WAY harder than one may think. I'm very proud. And so very glad I don't have to help him study at the kitchen table anymore instead of quilting! Yay me! Yay quilting! Oh, whoops, I mean, yay him!

I picked up his cake at Sam's Club on the way home after finding out so it wasn't very good - I think i'm spoiled to scratch now. It said "Master of the (Plumbing) Universe!" but he cut it before I could take a photo. Men! In the picture he's holding his test results and our first grandbaby, Tim's son Axel. Yes, he was named in honor of Axel from my sad baby story.

I was wondering, what color do you think Gigi's eyes are? Double click to enlarge. I really can't tell. Hazel is green with brown, but hers are more like dark blue or grey with brown. Hard to say! I'm brown and DH is blue. Thoughts?

Congrats to you and your hubby! Yay to more quilting time:). The baby story is just so sad but I agree with the above post, Gigi is a blessing. And her eyes, oh my, I don't know what color they are but they're beautiful. And that expression on her face, melt....

I have no idea what color the little one's eyes are but they are beautiful and soulful. And congrats to your hubsand. Here in Germany, that system of "levels" is very important and real. And when someone is a "master", that is like they walk on water. Some people even make their living by "renting" their name with that master title, never doing any work at all!! So...I really understand what a big deal it is and I'm very happy for you both!

Exactly Wanda! Master Plumbers here can "rent" their master number out too. It is a big deal, i'm so proud!

I would say hazel, but not sure?? 2 of my kids have that color like my hubby. All my other kiddos have blue, like me.

It seems that babies are coming into this world with new eye colors! My daughter has a hard to describe eye color too. They look blue with a cool brown over top, sometimes they look amber over grey and other times they look so green. I just don't know what to call them. We need a new eye color name for the passport!
